DRIVER Wayne Jones is in the 19th window of our Badvent crime calendar.

The 26-year-old, of no fixed abode, was stopped in Godstow Road, Wolvercote, in June when police officers believed he was under the influence of drink and drugs.

Jones, right, was arrested and bailed to attend Abingdon police station in September but failed to turn up.

Sgt Chris Jones, of the Roads Policing Department, said: “A decision was made while he was on bail to charge him with possession of ketamine, but he failed to turn up for this bail date. All attempts to track him down and arrest him have been negative.

“We now need the public’s help in tracing his whereabouts and putting him before the courts.”

Jones is about 5ft 8ins tall. He has blue eyes, blond short spiked hair and is normally clean-shaven.

So far this year two Badvent suspects have been arrested after appeals in the Oxford Mail.

With less than a week left of our campaign to bring Oxfordshire’s most difficult-to-detain criminals to justice, Det Insp Paul Miller said he was thrilled by the response from readers of the Oxford Mail.

He said: “It’s helping us to find people that we would otherwise find really difficult to find.

“At the moment when we’ve got such a big increase in burglaries we need to find as many people as we can.

“Often information links to other information we already have so sometimes a lot of people think they know something but maybe it’s not significant. It doesn’t matter – we really need to know.”

If you have any information that could help trace Jones, call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
