YOUNGSTERS have been using their entrepreneurial skills to raise money for their classrooms.
All 11 classes at Sandhills Primary School in Terrett Avenue, Oxford, were given £10 to invest in business ideas, with profits going back to the school.
Foundation stage youngsters bought and planted bulbs in decorated pots to sell to parents, while other classes made Christmas wreaths and festive candle holders, sweets and cakes, and a pin-the-nose-on-the-reindeer game.
Henry Finch, left, aged five, planted a bulb and Harry Barrett, right, 10, made a Christmas wreath. Henry, a foundation stage pupil, said: “I enjoyed sticking the stickers on the pot and we are hoping to buy some number games for our class.”
Headteacher Stephanie Lovett said: “I’ve seen a few budding Alan Sugars in the last few days.”
