Jurors at Oxford Crown Court will today continue to consider their verdicts in the trial of three men accused of swindling elderly Oxfordshire residents.
Former footballer Phil King, who made more than 100 appearances for Swindon Town, is jointly charged with tradesmen Trevor Bateman and David Merriman.
The trio denied a total of 36 offences between them, relating to building work allegedly carried out at 10 Oxfordshire homes and two in West Berkshire.
King, 43, who runs the Dolphin pub in Radbourne Road, Swindon, denies six counts of converting criminal property. Merriman, 49, of Swansdowne Drive, Clifton, Notts, denies 21 charges. Bateman, 54, of Oakham Close, Swindon, denies 27 charges.
