Sir – Barclays bank have given me a lifetime’s excellent service; but what is the point of sending me a letter (by TNT/post) announcing the fact that tax of £0.01 has been deducted from interest of £0.06, leaving a balance of £0.05 on an account which I had long thought moribund? Computers can be very stupid!
