A WELSH football fan has denied assaulting a steward at an Oxford United game.
Cardiff City fan Stephen Davies appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Monday and denied charges of assaulting Neil Francis and being drunk and disorderly at the Kassam Stadium on August 10 last year.
United were hosting the Welsh team in the League Cup at the time.
The 47-year-old, of Pontyclun, Mid Glamorgan, was bailed to stand trial on May 8.
