AFTER a great deal of wangling (as the matinee had been block-booked) we managed to get tickets for the Witney Am Dram panto, Babes In The Wood, staged at Cokethorpe School.

Apart from the woefully inadequate toilet facilities, can I just thank Grace Wells?

The performance was nothing short of excellent, the Sheriff of Nottingham (Tony Payne), having only a week to learn his part, did very well (any prompting very hilariously done by a tree!), and the Jill Stew dancers did the show proud.

I was very envious of the singing voices of the main characters, and Bill and Ben were hilarious and very well played indeed. A show very much enjoyed.

A little one yelled his head off, and due to the staged seating, even at the back we had an excellent view. The music, Forgotten Dreams, prompted memories too. Very well done Witney Am Dram.

Fab show, fab costumes and much appreciated, I am sure, by all who went. Just brilliant.
