A community wood of 1,500 trees has been officially opened in Woodstock.
The project was part of the town’s 900th anniversary celebrations. Volunteers, including Scout groups and school pupils, helped with the planting, on land donated by Blenheim Palace off Manor Road. An entrance sign was unveiled on Sunday, marking the completion of the project.
Pauline Richardson, pictured, the chairman of Woodstock in Bloom, who is also a member of Sustainable Woodstock, said: “I’m absolutely thrilled. It really has been a community project.”
