A JAZZ saxophonist and punk guitarist will be just some of the sculptures exhibited as part of Oxfordshire Artweeks.

Once again the 20 members of Bicester Sculpture Club have been busy creating pieces made of wood, bronze, ceramic and even wire.

Up to 150 items will go on display in the grounds of the George Muller Studio, off St Edburg’s Churchyard, Bicester, from Saturday, May 5, until Sunday, May 13.

The exhibition is open from noon to 5pm every day.

Pieces include a disc-shaped slate mosaic, animals and faces carved from wood and wire musicians.

Organiser Mick Waterhouse said: “There will also be the permanent sculptures that are on display in the studio garden. It’s a lovely display and our new work will be mixed in with the permanent display.

“Some of it is the culmination of a year’s work and some even longer.

“We all work towards this exhibition every May.”

Oxfordshire Artweeks will see hundreds of artists exhibit their work in studios, homes and galleries across the county.
