Sir – I listened with interest to the parliamentary discussion about the possible re-location of our beloved railway station.
However, nobody has yet to mention the obvious site for such a move. Surely it should be constructed next to the Bodleian Library’s book storage facility on the outskirts of Swindon. After all, the rail network is already there and the road access is very good.
Sitting in a traffic jam on the Botley Road while one’s train departs would be a thing of the past. Everyone would be happy. Now, what could be next?
