I WOULD like to say a sincere thank you to a couple who, when I was in Witney on February 27, asked me if they could help.
I was rather laden with shopping and asked if I was going far. I told them I was visiting my sister-in-law at Cedar Court care home.
They very kindly walked with me, carrying my shopping to the care home, chatting away as if we were old friends. It was very heart-warming. Their names were Sandy and Diamond.
And on April 19, in the Co-op store in Woodstock, a very pleasant young lady asked if she could help me as I was with trolley and walking stick. She carried the basket of shopping as I put things in. She then carried it to the checkout for me.
I would like to say a sincere thank you to her too, though I don’t know her name.
I could not help thinking that if there were more people such as the ones I was lucky enough to find, the world would be a better place.
Also, when I came out from the care home on February 27, there was a community police officer who asked me if she could help and walked with me to the bus stop carrying my shopping. Her name was Lina and I would like to give a sincere thank-you to her too.
