THE headteacher of Thameside Primary School in Abingdon is confident he will be in charge of a school rated good by inspectors.
As it stands, we share his optimism.
Thameside has had a poor history over the past 13 years, going into special measures three times in that period.
It has now come out of special measures and headteacher Joseph Rubba says it is still going to be a long haul to improve from satisfactory to good but he is clearly determined to achieve this.
Both the school and education chief Melinda Tilley are asking parents to show faith in the school.
Parents shouldn’t be asked to take a chance on their children’s education but we believe they can feel reassured Mr Rubba and his senior teachers will not rest on their laurels.
