Sir – Reference to Celia Frue’s letter (April 26). I am at a loss to understand Celia’s points on bus services from Oxford’s park-and-ride car parks.
She mentions taking the bus from Seacourt which stops near County Hall and then walking through Queen Street to the Ashmolean, why not walk down New Road, Worcester Street and up Beaumont Street, thereby avoiding the majority of the unyielding people jams; ever think you were adding to them Celia?
Perhaps you could have driven to one of the other park-and-ride car parks which would have served better if the Ashmolean was your destination.
Also mentioned was the lack of respect visitors show to Oxford residents, coming from Eynsham I hope you treated my fellow Oxford residents with some: for the benefit of others living in Oxford, Eynsham is to the west of the city, about seven miles distance.
I’m sure Celia is a lovely person but in this case a victim of her own actions.
