Despite David Diment’s claim (Friday’s ViewPoints) that we had to go into the Second World War because of our treaty with Poland, I still do not think that we should fight other countries’ battles, treaty or no treaty.
Perhaps Mr Diment doesn’t mind the regular news of our soldiers dying in Afghanistan.
