ORGANISERS are hoping a huge bike event at Blenheim Palace this summer will raise £100,000 for a breast cancer charity.

Bike Blenheim Palace will take place for the fifth year at the Woodstock stately home on Saturday, August 18, and Sunday, August 19.

The event is in aid of Breast Cancer Care and organisers hope hundreds of people will take part and collect money through sponsorship.

Fundraisers will be able to take part in the Pink Ribbonride, a 26.2 mile bike ride in west Oxfordshire, as dozens of other bike events take place in Blenheim Palace.

Cyclists will be able to take part in or watch a 100-mile event through the Cotswolds, take on a 40km off-road track, time trials and bike polo tournaments.

Breast Cancer Care events officer Sarah Curgenven, second from right, said: “It will be a day of fun for all ages, men, women and families.

“Bringing in £100,000 will mean we can continue to provide our services free of change.”

Breast Cancer Care offers information and support to sufferers of breast cancer and their families.
