Sir – In this month’s Oxfordshire Limited Edition magazine there is an article by Maggie Hartford about walks on the Ridgeway. When writing about Letcombe Regis, which is within easy reach of The Ridgeway, she says that regrettably the Greyhound Inn has closed.
Well she, and your readers, will be pleased to note that the Greyhound has recently reopened as a free house.
Thanks to support from the villagers, it is now thriving and serving a fine selection of real ales and good quality home cooked food. Walkers are of course very welcome!
