THE Wolvercote Festival went with a bang, despite suffering some unexpected flooding.
This weekend marked the 10th Wolvercote and Wytham Midsummer Festival, and to celebrate the anniversary organisers chose an Olympic theme.
Heavy rainfall meant that Fun on the Green, scheduled for Saturday on Goose Green had to be relocated to the village hall.
But that did not stop young music lovers having a fantastic time at the Music Workshop.
Mother Vicky Harris said: “Thankfully it didn’t rain until later in the day.
“The children made some instruments at the workshop at the back of the hall and then all got together and had a sing-song.
“They had a fantastic time.”
