Sir – Swimming pools are no respectors of class, creed or colour.
I swim regularly at the Ferry Pool and have come to know people with a wonderful diversity of racial, social and educational backgrounds, of occupations and interests, and bonds form between us. We live in an age of widespread loneliness and social isolation and surely these factors indicate the need for a local pool in Temple Cowley, as well as the one in Blackbird Leys?
