Sir – Further to your front page article (August 23) about the inadequacies of the sewage system in Northway, I can add Stoke Place, in Old Headington, as another victim.
We had sewage pouring out of our
ground-floor lavatory during the storm of Sunday, August 5, and our neighbours’ garden filled with sewage from their manhole. We both share a sewer with Ruskin College which is about to move all its students to Old Headington, into its new building. We urge the council and Thames Water to ensure the sewage system can cope with present and future developments in Northway, Headington and Barton.
