Sir – I refer to my recent letter to your esteemed organ and Mr Gray’s previous insulting reference to Lord Coe — I was so pleased, albeit amazed, to read Gray Matter (August 16) which described Lord Coe, rightly, as “admirable” — what could have caused this Damascene volte face . . . ? Can we be told? Or does Gray not do “sorry!”?
