A woman who stole a wheelchair from a shop was forced to return it by police.
The 35-year-old was one of a group of people who borrowed an in-store wheelchair at Wilkinsons in Banbury on February 17.
After paying for their shopping, the group left the shop taking the wheelchair with them.
The woman came forward to police after an appeal which was published in the Oxford Mail, and the force issued her with an Adult Restorative Disposal on March 29 requiring her to return the wheelchair, which they said has now happened.
Police refused to name the woman, saying although it was legally allowed to, identifying her would not be “proportionate” to the crime.
