A MAN was attacked outside a McDonald's in Banbury, police said.
Officers said two men approached the victim outside the Bridge Street restaurant at about 9.45pm on Thursday.
The victim tried to walk away but one man threw several punches at him.
Police said in a bid to escape, the victim punched the attacker once in self-defence and was able to run off.
While the victim was unhurt, the attacker was left with a cut to his head.
Officers are trying to track the victim and attacker after seeing the fight on CCTV footage.
The victim is described as white, in his early 20s, of average height and build and wearing black trousers and a hooded grey top.
The offender is white, aged in his late teens, of heavy build. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt and light grey jogging bottoms.
