COMIC book fans packed into Wantage yesterday for the town’s first ever Comic Con event.

Hundreds of people were able to rub shoulders with several sci-fi actors such as Ewok Michael Henbury Ballan and longest-serving Dr Who assistant Corporal John Benton played by John Levene.

There were about 50 stalls jam-packed with memorabilia for fans to get hold of, as well as the Jaguar XKR Bond car from Die Another Day and driven by actor Rick Yune on display outside The Beacon.

The show was put on by Toy Planet Collectors of Wantage.
