A CONVICTED sex offender was jailed after he breached a court order by accessing indecent images and videos of children.
Jamie Morrison, 27, of Cowley Road, Oxford, was sentenced to 16 months in total behind bars at Oxford Crown Court yesterday.
The court heard how Morrison, who had been convicted of downloading indecent images at Oxford Magistrates’ Court in February, had breached a sexual harm prevention order which had been made for different offence in July 2015.
Judge Ian Pringle QC said the court regarded breaches of sexual harm prevention orders as a ‘serious matter’.
Prosecuting Naomi Perry told the court how Morrison breached the order by searching for indecent images of children on the Internet through his mobile phone.
She added the 29 category A still images, 21 category B images and 38 category C images were found on the phone.
There were also 35 category A, eight category B and four category C videos.
Defending, Claire Wade said: “He is not somebody who is in denial about his offending.”
