WITH hundreds of schools around Oxfordshire closed due to icy conditions, one pre-school opened its doors for a morning of fun.
Appleton Village Pre-school organised craft sessions for local children to keep them occupied on the snow day on Monday.
The pre-school, which is based in Appleton Village Hall, welcomed children to make decorations and play games.
Pre-school supervisor Tracey Agutter said: "It was fantastic to see so many young children join us for Christmas craft activities."
The pre-school runs sessions for children aged 3 to 5 years old.
Some 266 schools were closed on Monday with only 27 able to open. Scores more remained closed on Tuesday.
