ENSAR Gol stabbed three women more than 100 times leaving “thousands and thousands of blood stains”, jurors have heard.

The 22-year-old is on trial at Oxford Crown Court accused of murdering his wife Michala and his mother-in-law Julie Sahin, and attempting to murder their friend Casey Wilson.

Yesterday forensics expert Steven Green told jurors he analysed the scene of the deaths at the family home in Ireton Court, Thame, on September 4.

He said a knife with a 14.8cm blade was missing from a knifeblock in the kitchen. The implement was bent, which he said was “a common feature of knives that have been used as weapons”.

Mr Green added: “There were thousands and thousands of blood stains in this house.”

Under cross-examination from defence barrister Richard Benson, Mr Green said he did not find any evidence of Miss Wilson’s blood in the room where she says she was attacked.

He said it would have been impossible to test every patch of blood due to the costs involved.

Pathologist Dr Nicholas Hunt described each knife wound suffered by the three women.

He said 28-year-old Michala had 46 separate knife injuries, of which the vast majority were stab wounds, including seven that had penetrated 10cm or more.

Dr Hunt said her carotid artery and jugular veins had been cut.

Julie Sahin had 55 separate knife injuries, of which almost all were stab wounds, including four 10cm deep or more, Dr Hunt said.

He added that the 50-year-old had been stabbed in the heart, liver and lungs.

In a statement read out in court, jurors were told 20-year-old Casey Wilson suffered four stab wounds between three and four centimetres deep. Three were to the left side of the neck and one was to her right upper arm.

In more written statements read to jurors, neighbours in Ireton Court described hearing a woman’s scream at about 2am on the night in question.

One neighbour said: “At about 2am there was a piercing scream. I’ve never heard anything like this before.

“I heard her shout ‘help’ and she was repeating this. I knew she was in trouble so I dialled 999.”

The prosecution case is set to conclude this morning, after which Gol, who denies all the charges, is expected to give evidence.
