Oxford United have confirmed goalkeeper Ryan Clarke will definitely miss the rest of the season. The 30-year-old will have the first of two shoulder operations on Monday. It is expected to take four and a half months to fully recover, ending any hope of a return before the end of the campaign.

These operations should have been done straight after the Southend game, this way Ryan would have been over two weeks into his recovery from the first one, they knew the situation and should have made arrangements.

As for Mr Brown then lets hope there is no repeat of the Bradford incident.

I still say we should sign another decent keeper.
