JACK Brooks faces six weeks on the sidelines after breaking a thumb while playing for Yorkshire.
The former Oxfordshire seamer suffered a broken bone in his left thumb during his side’s LV= County Championship draw with Somerset last week.
His thumb is now in a cast and Brooks may undergo surgery tomorrow morning after seeing a consultant.
The news is a big blow for the fast bowler, who has started the season in fine form for his new county after leaving Northants in the summer.
