Banbury Borough’s Mark Sykes, last year’s inaugural winner of the Oxfordshire Two Wood Championship, has booked his place along with Headington’s Gary May, in this season’s National Championships finals.
The pair won through in the semi-finals against Banbury Central’s Graham Morbey and May’s twin brother, Dean, respectively.
Sykes started the day with a win over fellow Middleton Cup skip Ian Snowdon, before recording a comfortable victory over his Middleton Cup captain Alan Prew.
In the other half of the draw, May defeated Carterton’s Bob Turley and Oxford City & County’s Othman Sharif.
The county final will be in July, with the national finals at Worthing for the first time the following month.
