JOHNSONS BUILDBASE OXFORD SUMMER LEAGUE
Dennis Atkins starred as Marlborough Club A sprang a surprise in Group B with a thumping 6-0 victory at Gladiators Club, writes PETE EWINS.
Atkins racked up scores of 10,280 and 9,730 in the whitewash, with Callum Bowler (4,030 & 4,090) and Andy Ing-ram (2,840 & 2,930) also bagging a brace of successes.
Masons Arms extended their lead at the top of Group A with a 4-2 home win over West Oxford Democrats Club.
Mick Murphy and Alan Lowe won two games apiece for Masons, with Terry Green triumphing in both his matches for Democrats. Didcot Conservative Club fought back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 at Vikings.
Jenny Florey (5,350), Stuart Florey (8,670) and Dave Tooke (7,930) staged the revival.
