Banbury all-rounder Richard West makes his first Western Division appearance of the season as Oxfordshire take on Wales at Abergavenny, starting on Sunday.
West has earned his call-up following a series of solid contributions with bat and ball for his club side.
He is one of two changes from the side which lost by five wickets to Shropshire at Banbury two weeks ago.
Skipper Luke Ryan, who was forced to drop out on the eve of the game after splitting the webbing on his left hand while effecting a run out in Banbury’s Home Counties Premier League game against High Wycombe, is back to lead the side.
Dropping out are Banbury batsman Michael Beard and Bromley all-rounder David Smith.
Wales have won their three games, and Ryan is looking for Oxon to improve on their display against Shropshire. “We didn’t bowl well first up on the first day and were always battling to get back into the game,” he said.
Oxfordshire: Kaufman (Old Northamptonians), Sabin (Banbury), Shirazi (Aston Rowant), Perkin (Oxford), West (Banbury), Cater (Banbury), Keegan (Henley), Ryan (Banbury, capt), Rowe (Sully Centurions), Vainker (Oxford), Woods (Great & Little Tew).
