Divisions 4-6

EYNSHAM are a win away from the Division 4 title after defeating Wootton & Boars Hill by 35 runs.

Batting first, Eynsham declared after 35 overs on 167-7, Liam Rainbow hitting 64 and Chris Bowles 39 not out.

Wootton closed on 132-8 in their reply, Damien Wiskin top-scoring with 51.

Wolvercote remain in second place after a nine-wicket win at Deddington.

Brian George took 6-21 to help skittle Deddington out for 75, before Wolvercote raced to 76-1 as Alex Hadcock made 38 not out.

George Grace hit 101 to help Swinbrook to an 84-run victory against Stanton St John Willows.

Tom Derbyshire chipped in with 65 in Swinbrook’s 237-8, before James Snow (5-43) and Jack Bullivant (3-23) combined to dismiss Willows for 153.

Hailey cruised to an eight-wicket win at Garsington 2nd.

Dan King claimed 4-30 to help bowl out the hosts for 169, and then Tahir Akram fired 68 not out in Hailey’s 170-2.

The match between West Ilsley and Charlbury 2nd was abandoned after West Ilsley had posted 236-8 and Charlbury had reached 60-2.

In Division 5, Kidlington enjoyed an eight-wicket win against Cassington Rescue.

Waseem Azad (3-24) and Michael Tippett (3-27) restricted the visitors to 133-9, before Jack Desmond hit 64 not out to lead Kidlington to 135-2.

Hanborough maintained their promotion hopes with a five-wicket win at Stanton Harcourt.

Charlie Waite hit 59 in Stanton Harcourt’s 185-9, but Rob Lovick (55no) and Matthew Neilsen (42) led Hanborough to 186-5.

Marcham saw off Kennington by 61 runs. Neil Patel (58no) and Edward Warwick (51) helped Marcham to 214-5, before Nathan Himpson claimed 4-44 as Kennington were all out for 153.

In Division 6, Dorchester’s Steve McComb scored an unbeaten century to help his side to a 49-run victory at Oxenford 2nd.

McComb hit 100 not out, including a six which went through the windscreen of a teammate’s car. Dorchester declared on 206-5, and then Oxenford were restricted to 157-9.

Shrivenham 2nd beat hosts Faringdon 2nd by 36 runs. Scott Winskill scored 65 in Shrivenham’s 160 all out, before Steve Bowles took 4-10 and Thomas Swann 3-30 as Faringdon reached 124.

Sunningwell crushed hosts Brill by nine wickets. Andy Claydon took 4-16 and James Stacey 3-30 as Brill were shot out for 61. Nigel Lovell scored 40 not out to lead Sunningwell to 63-1.
