DIDCOT sealed promotion in a tense affair at East Oxford.

The hosts managed 196 all out from 48.4 overs, Atif Ali top scoring with 48 while Jordan Morrison claimed 5-52.

Matt Jones hit 81 for the visitors, but Ali Malik took 5-59 and they only just made it to 199-7 with four overs to spare.

Great & Little Tew 2nd will have to wait to join Didcot in Division 3 after their match at Buckingham Town 2nd was called off.

Town had tumbled to 109 all out against Lawrence Brock (5-35), and Tew were already 46 without loss from eight overs when rain stopped play.

Ben Denton took 3-44 and then dashed to 71 not out as Wallingford beat Horley by five wickets.

Matt Brice (46no) and Steve Palmer (40) had been the mainstays of the home side’s 167 all out, while John Brannan picked up 3-26 for the visitors.

Wallingford reached their victory target in the 36th over.

Stokenchurch’s relegation was confirmed when they crashed to 60 all out at Chearsley.

Only Stefan Read (31) prevented further humiliation as Ken Baker (4-4) and Matt Rickett (4-7) shone. The home side made hard work of reaching 63-5.

Matt Warner hit 94, Dave Pearce was 69 not out and Kingston Bagpuize were 218-5 from 38 overs at Witney Mills when the match had to be abandoned due to rain.
