OXFORDSHIRE Best of Districts Under 12s got their south east tour off to the perfect start with a 73-run victory over Stoke Newington Under 13s at Hackney Marshes.
Freddie Williams top-scored with 42 to send Oxon on their way to a total of 220-9 from their 40 overs, while Ben Coldicott (34) and Charlie Elliott (32no) also impressed.
In reply, Stoke Newington were dismissed for 147 in 33.4 overs on what proved to be a lively wicket.
Spinner Tom Chesser took 3-15 from eight overs in an impressive team display, as their opponents’ seven other wickets each fell to a different bowler.
