OXFORDSHIRE ended their season on a high note with a 143-105 win over Essex in a friendly at Shiplake Village.
Oxon won on four of the six rinks and drew on another.
Alan Ley skipped their highest winning rink to a 32-12 success.

- OXFORDSHIRE Vice Presidents brought their golden anniversary season to a close with two defeats in charity games at Kidlington.
They went down 105-86 to the Home Counties Bowling Association and 132-96 to Friends of English Bowling in the games, which were in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
- OXFORD City & County’s Katherine Hawes has been named as a travelling reserve for the England team, which will defend their British Isles Women’s International Series title in Jersey next June.
Hawes, who was a member of the England team who were crowned champions in Glasgow this summer, received her selection for next year following trials in Royal Leamington Spa last weekend.
