BB&O CHAMPIONSHIP

JAMIE Cantwell scored a club record seven tries as Harwell hammered Kingsclere 77-17.

The hosts led 41-7 at half-time, with Cantwell (4), Rob Douglas (2) and Andy Lee scoring tries, Lee converting three.

Cantwell (3), Will Lane, Mark Baker and Dan Corne went over in the second half, James Hoskyns-Jones converting three.

Visitors Wheatley edged out Didcot 17-12 in their derby clash.

Jason Wilson, Nick Banton and Andy Tippett scored for Wheatley, with Adam Muir converting one.

Sam Lacy and Josh Sharp replied, Josh Witts converting one.

Faringdon went down 20-9 to Risborough in the first match at their new permanent home of Folly Sports Fields.

Ten years after a Faringdon club was first mooted, players and officials still had plenty to celebrate despite the defeat.

Full back Darren Clark kicked three penalties for Faringdon, while Risborough won it with two converted tries and two penalties.

Abingdon won 12-8 at Berkshire Shire Hall.
