Terry Chambers won a thrilling decider against Keith Pearce to give Ashton the narrowest of 2-1 victories away to Cowley Conservative Club A in the Gentworks Oxford League.
Chambers, off a plus-ten handicap, produced two breaks of 21 as he scraped home 200-198 in the decider against Pearce (+50) to give the Division 1 side victory.
