London Welsh head coach Justin Burnell said he will keep trying to add to his squad, despite their strong start to the season.

Burnell’s men top the Greene King IPA Championship, but he knows they will need as much strength as possible to continue their Premiership push.

“We are always looking for good players,” said Burnell.

“I don’t think we will be able to get through the league with 30 fit players.

“We are fortunate that Kelvin Bryon (deputy chairman) and Bleddyn Phillips (chairman) are very aware of that.

“We are constantly in dialogue with Premiership clubs and are also aware that in New Zealand their cup competition has just finished.

“We are constantly looking for English qualified players.”
