GOSFORD All Blacks came back strongly to win 45-22 at prison-based opponents Aylesbury Athletic in the BB&O Premier Division.

The hosts led 12-0 and 17-5 before being pegged back to 17-17 at half-time.

Lock Andy Simm went over for Gosford’s opening try, but three scores and a conversion had Athletic well placed.

Prop Tony Baughan and full back Stephan Edwards went over for Gosford, with Ben Bodinham converting one.

Athletic scored again at the resumption, but Baughan, centre Jack Briggs, fly half Tom Fox and Dan Hughes crossed for Gosford, Bodinham converting all four tries.

Bicester earned a morale-boosting 39-17 victory at Slough – having had to give Chipping Norton a walkover in the Oxfordshire Shield last week.

Victory saw them climb from tenth to seventh.

Full back Joshua Young, hooker Jake Holdsworth and wing Will Hammond went over in the first half for Bicester, with fly half Steve Risbridger converting one and adding a penalty for a 20-7 lead.

Bicester had Young sin-bined, but pulled clear with prop Dave Behan, No 8 Dan Spencer and centre James Holton scoring further tries, with Risbridger converting two.

Littlemore won 22-5 at home to Farnham Royal, but Chipping Norton lost 26-19 at Chesham.
