OXFORD City Stars go into their clash at Basingstoke Buffalo tomorrow (6.30) knowing that their destiny is in their own hands as they bid to retain the English National League South Division 2 title.
They could even be crowned champions today, if Slough are defeated at home to Haringey.
Otherwise, Oxford just need to match or better Slough’s result.
Stars, who are chasing a double, having already won the league cup, are boosted by the return of Mike Whillock following a one-game suspension, but Jacob Smith remains sidelined through injury.
Basingstoke are set to call up under 21 players Danny Ingoldsby, Stuart Mogg and Cameron Wynn, who have been plying their trade in the Premier League.
Oxford will have the backing of more than 100 fans, one of their highest away attendances.
