ASTON Rowant trainer Alan Hill could bid to strengthen his claims for top honours in the Kimblewick Hunt meeting at Kingston Blount tomorrow.

The handler has all but secured the area title, but is now gunning for the national Connolly’s Red Mills Trainer’s Championship.

Hill, with 22 winners, is four clear of nearest rival Robert Chanin in the race for top honours in the category for trainers with eight or more horses under their care.

He has entered Ravethebrave in the AGA Ladies’ Open, where victory under Hannah Watson would see the jockey move to the head of the South Midlands Area Lady Riders’ Championship.

Watson has another live opportunity to add to her tally with Minella For Party, one of several with good chances in the Intermediate race.

The first race is due off at 2pm.
