OXFORD Bowls Club B secured a thrilling 4-3 victory over Fieldside in the Gentworks Oxford & District Billiards League’s Atox Cup final at Littlemore RBL.
The Bowls Club trio of Simon Painter, Terry Gripe and Terry Cook won by just nine points on aggregate after the legs had been tied 3-3.
It was bad luck for Fieldside’s Paul Robinson, who had a super break of 75 when beating Painter 75-54 in the opening leg, but finished on the losing side.
Hassan Ali produced a magnificent break of 72 as he won the Oxford & District Snooker League’s Walt Bradbury Trophy, when beating Andrew Gee 2-0 in the final.
