Oxford United Under 18s missed out on a golden chance to face Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup when they went down 2-1 at Stevenage Borough in the second round.
Things looked promising for the U's when a fine strike from Chris Fowler gave them the lead after 15 minutes.
But Stevenage hit back with two good goals to book their tie at home to Chelsea in round three.
United hit a post in the last minute.
