EDDIE Pepperell was in fine form as he finished fourth at the Portugal Masters.

The Frilford Heath member ended the tournament 21-under par, and nine shots behind winner Jordan Smith.

Pepperell took 263 shots over the four rounds, with Wiltshire’s Smith finishing on 254 shots, and 30-under par.

The first round for Pepperell saw half a dozen birdies, and just a couple of bogeys, leaving him four-under par.

He was seven-under par in the second round, with eight birdies and a solitary bogey.

Round three saw a trio of birdies, one bogey and an eagle on the 17th hole, putting him four-under par for the round.

Pepperell rounded off the tournament with six birdies in the final round, which he was six-under par in.

His performance in Portugal followed the Mallorca Golf Open, where he finished 30th, eight shots behind winner Yannik Paul.

German golfer Paul took 269 shots, to finish 15-under par and claim his first DP World Tour title.

Pepperell is next in action at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa.

The action gets underway on November 10, and runs through until November 13.
