Oxon Under 14 boys finished off the season in fine style on Sunday, Joe Brownill scoring nine goals in two matches.
They beat Sussex 4-2 and then crushed Berkshire 9-0 to finish second in their Southern Counties group, with Bucks top on goal difference by just one goal.
City of Oxford retained their title as Under 11 boys county champions for the third consecutive year, winning the Yazoo National Mini Championships final 2-0 against a spirited Enstone Primary School with Niall Devaney getting both goals.
Losing semi-finalists were West Witney and St Amand’s.
City and Enstone both qualify for the South finals at Surbiton HC on April 26.
In the girls’ final, Chandling Manor School also retained their title, winning 1-0 against Oxford Hawks. Similarly, these top two also qualify for the South finals.
Ten teams took part in each of thecompetitions.
