World Cup-winning captain Charlotte Edwards has finished a six-week coaching session at Oxford CC – grooming the stars of the future.

Edwards, captain of the England team that won the World Cup by beating New Zealand, has been undertaking coaching for girls in the last two months as part of the clubs ‘Chance to Shine’ project and Oxford’s status as a ‘hub club’ for the development of girls and women’s cricket in Oxfordshire.

Edwards and the Oxford girls are pictured with Richard Wade, a partner at Oxford-based solicitors Blake Lapthorn, who are sponsors of the club’s project.

Any girls interested in coming along to coaching should contact Fitty Parker on either 07954 165841 or email her at fitty.parker@ntl world.com
