Oxfordshire's Amanda Carreras continued her remarkable run by winning both the singles and doubles titles at another ITF $10,000 professional tournament held in Antalya, Turkey – just as she did the previous week.

She is now on an incredible 17-match winning streak (ten singles and seven doubles), having won four ITF titles in the space of ten days.

Rumours circulating around the UK tennis forums suggest she could even be considered for the ITF Player of the Month award.

These wins will push her up 70-80 places to the lower 400 region of the ladies’ world rankings.

Carreras, who again partnered Italian Valentina Sulpizio, won the doubles title on Friday after beating the Swedish pair of Julia Klackenberg and Sandra Roma 6-0, 6-3 in a one-sided final.

It was also Roma, whom Carreras met in the final of the singles on Saturday morning, beating her 7-6, 6-7, 6-4 in a gruelling three-hour match.

Carreras had the tougher draw leading up to the final, which included playing a blinder against No 1 seed Michelle Gerards, from the Netherlands, in the last eight.

She was leading 6-4, 6-7, 4-1 before her opponent pulled out with cramp.

That win gave her the confidence to breeze through her semi-final 6-0, 6-1 against Manana Shapakidze, from Georgia, to set up her final clash with Roma.

Carreras will now take a few days off for a well-earned rest in the UK and a possible weekend in Gibraltar before she starts preparing for her next tournament.

There is also a possibility she may receive a wild card for the Wimbledon qualifiers.
