OXFORD United are mulling over whether to let midfielder Sam Deering stay on at Blue Square South leaders Newport County for a second month.
Manager Chris Wilder said: “His loan finishes on Saturday, they’re looking to extend it for a further month, so we’ve got a decision to make.
“If the loan is extended, we’ll have a 24-hour recall.
“We’ll have to look where our bodies and numbers are as well, and see what’s best for Sam, as well as best for us.
“But, as I’ve said before, Sam will play a major part this season.”
