Eddie Pepperell represents the English Golf Union (EGU) in Argentina’s Juan Carlos Tailhade Cup, starting today.

The 18-year-old Drayton Park member teams up with Tommy Fleetword (Formby Hall) in the 72-hole strokeplay event at Los Lagartos Country Club in Buenos Aires, which runs until Sunday.

Pepperell and Fleetwood will then go on to compete in the Argentine Amateur Championship at Buenos Aires Golf Club next week.

KATIE Amor won the Nicola Sparks Memorial Trophy after shooting 48 stableford points at Burford.

The Burford member finished seven points ahead of Studley Wood’s Sophie Stone in the Oxfordshire girls’ event.

Harriet Hancock (Rye Hill) clinched the nine-hole competition with 24 points, while Chipping Norton’s Kathryn Pitts, also playing off a 54 handicap, was second on 21.

Victoria Hart won the six-hole flag competition, ahead of Burford’s Laura Godwin.

ALAN Aston and Sadie Timms drove in for their years as Witney Lakes captains in front of 72 fellow members.

Aston’s chosen charity is SSNAP (Support for the Sick Newborn And their Parents), while Timms is backing Children with Leukaemia.
