Frilford Heath went one better than last year by winning the Shaw Gibbs Oxfordshire Foursomes League’s Knockout Cup.
The 2008 runners-up defeated Chipping Norton, who had already claimed the Section 2 title, 2-1 in the final on Mentmore’s Rothchild Course.
Chippy’s Matt Johnson and Stu Allen pipped John Summers and Joe Richardson by one hole in match one, but their side could not hold on.
Ashley Walton and Ben Paterson cruised to 5 up after 11 holes and then lost two in a row to give some hope to Chippy’s Shaun Kench and Chris Denton.
But a birdie at the 14th proved decisive and the match ended 4&3 at the 15th.
Paul Richardson, Joe’s dad, and Paul Dolton took an early lead over Tim Reynolds and Andy Johnson, then played steady golf to keep in front.
They eventually ran out 3&2 victors when the Chippy pair fired their tee shot out of bounds on the 16th hole.
