Adderbury Park extended their lead at the top of the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division to two points from second-placed Garsington following a 1-0 win against Marston Saints.

But the table-toppers left it late, with a Gary Crook penalty, 15 minutes from time, making the difference.

After a goalless first half, Adderbury turned up the pressure and it paid off when a Marston defender handled the ball, with Crook slotting home the resulting penalty.

Marston tried to get back into the game, but Adderbury held firm.

Simon Evans fired a double as Horspath eased to a 3-1 victory against Enstone.

Paul Flack was their other scorer, with Marek Plodolski replying for Enstone.

Garsington Res had Will Sheppard sent off, but managed to hold on for a 1-0 success against Oakley.

Mike Milling gave Oakley the lead, before Sheppard was red-carded for chopping down Oakley’s John Armstrong from behind.

Garsington were unable to get back into the contest.

Karl Tucker bagged a brace for Broughton & North Newington as they crushed Middleton Cheney 5-1.

Gareth Davies, Alec Hale and James Castle were their other scorers, with Seb Salt hitting back for Middleton.

Dave Barrie, Michael Philpott and Adam Mercer were on target for Slade Farm United as they beat Mansfield Road 3-1.

Slade had to withstand severe pressure from the visitors, before Barrie drove in the opener.

After the break, Barrie flicked on a long throw into the path of Philpott who nodded it in at the far post.

Although Mansfield clawed one back, Mercer sealed victory with Slade’s third goal.

Bletchingdon Res were crowned Division 2 champions in style with a 12-3 win against Marston Saints Res.

Stuart Wells and Richard Wells helped themselves to hat-tricks, with Paul Faulkner and Daniel Evans notching doubles.

Kieran Johnson (2) and Mathew Holton replied for Marston.

Freeland Res strolled to a 5-1 victory against Oxford University Press Res, thanks to strikes from Chris Gilkes (2), Rob Belcher, Tom Millar and Ben Symonds.

Millar shot past the keeper at the near post for the opener, before Gilkes doubled their lead with a shot that bobbled through the legs of the OUP keeper.

It was 3-0 on 20 minutes when Belcher chipped home following good work from Millar.

Ben Symonds met James Lamberts cross for No 4 early in the second half.

Gilkes scored his second when he tapped in from close range, before Chris Parsons pulled one back for OUP.

Goals from Darren Grey (2) and Simon Cullen earned Horspath Res a 3-0 victory against Broughton & North Newington Res.

Meanwhile, AFC Hinksey take on Garsington in the President’s Cup final at Kidlington FC (kick-off 11am), before Bletchingdon Res battle it out with Garsington Res in the final of the Clarendon Cup at the same venue (2.30).
